Go Fight Win

Hey Team- Go Fight Win!! (I don't know why I wrote that- it just sounded good)

Yeah- isn't the snow great? (Ok it's cold and colder, but it sure is beautiful!)

I just wanted you all to know how proud of you I am. I am seeing so many of you at meetings and really giving it your all. A healthy weight and lifestyle is just plain one of the greatest gift you can give yourself, ANY time of year.

I was just plain blown away by the great progress ya'll made after thanksgiving weekend. Even if you didn't lose (or lose as much as you wanted to)- you came back, and are looking for motivation and ways to get and stay on track! Kudos to you and WAY TO GO!!! You know one of the greatest things I have learned during my weight loss journey, is that I can have an "off" day (or maybe even weekend:) and get right back on track. I have had to learn to do that- it's a skill :) . Weight loss, just like life, throws us curve balls- and it's not so much how we act while the ball is headed straight for our forehead- but what we do after it knocks us on our duff. We are going to get knocked down- but it's what we do next that counts. Ya'll know my favorite quote,
"You don't drown by falling in the water, you drown by staying there."

Enough of that- you are simply the best and I am inspired by each of you!!

This week we are going to be learning some ways to CREATE MORE TIME for ourselves! Yes- really and truly! I have attached a yummy recipe from Susan (one of our lovely receptionists). Boy does it look GOOD! See you all this coming week! Don't forget to schedule your WW meeting in for the week!

CRANBERRY CREAM PIE
Serves 10 (WW Points I figured at 7)
1 9-oz prepared graham cracker crust
Filling: 1 3-oz package sugar-free Raspberry Jell-O (good with Cranberry Jell-O, too!)
1 cup boiling water
1 cup Light sour cream
1 (1 lb.) can whole berry cranberry sauce
Topping: 4 oz Light cream cheese
2 cups Light Cool Whip
1/4 cup sugar
1 cup mini-marshmallows
Filling: Dissolve Jell-O in boiling water and chill until thick, but not set. Stir in cranberry sauce and sour cream. Pour into pie shell. Chill until firm.
Topping: Soften cream cheese with fork, or in mixing bowl with beaters. Slowly add whipping cream and stir until blended. Stir in marshmallows and sugar.
Chill 4 hours, then whip with electric beaters until thick. Spread on pie. Cover and refrigerate until serving time.
Refrigerate leftovers.
(I've tried this with fat-free cream cheese, sour cream, and Cool Whip, but didn't like the results) Let me know if you have better luck than I did. I hope you like it!
