Are you ready, here it comes!!!

Here are some of the great ideas we heard in the meetings this week!  Thanks to all of you who shared your fantastic ways to keep from getting bored with our meals, especially!

Spices (from Jean, Monday AM Provo)
Sweet Mesquite--costco
Rustic Tuscan- Costco
Organic No-Salt -Costco
Smoked Paprika- Costco
Trechas' Salimon power - Walmart produce section
Tajin Clasico seasoning -
Walmart produce section
Trechas Chili Powder- Walmart produce section
Sylvia's Frihita's Mix- equal parts of ground garlic, cumin and oregano

Coleslaw (from Marcie, Monday Provo)
1 bag coleslaw mix
2 cans mandarin oranges, drained
1 T olive oil
2 T honey mustard
This makes 6 servings, 1 POINT each.  4 or 5 servings for 2 POINTS each.

Paprika Chicken (From Liz, Provo Monday)
2 T Smoked paprika
2 T flour
Mix well and coat your chicken breasts.  Bake.  YUMMY!!  Count the points for however much chicken you used :)

Draper Center Recipes (from Terri, Payson)
Broccoli n' Cheese Soup
3 C fat free chicken broth
10 oz light velveta
16 oz pkg frozen broccoli, cooked
16 oz pkg frozen broccoli cauliflower mix
Cook the broccoli cauliflower mix in the broth, abt 8 minutes.  Mash with a potato masher.  Cube velveta, stir in mashed mixture.  Now add the cooked broccoli.  1 POINT per cup.

Vegetarian Chili
1 can kidney beans, drained
1 can green beans, drained
1 can black beans, drained
1 can chopped tomatoes
1 can tomato sauce
1 chopped green pepper
1 c onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 t chili powder
1 t sugar
1 t cumin
1 c water
1 diced carrot
mix all together, simmer for 30-60 minutes.  1 POINT per cup

Fiesta Chicken Soup
10 oz cooked chicken, cubed
1 can black beans
1 can corn
1 can green chilies
1 can red beans
1 can rotel tomatoes
1 can diced tomatoes
1 garlic clove minced
1 T cumin
4 C fat free chicken broth
mix all together, simmer 20 minutes.  1 POINT per cup.

Taco Soup
1 lb extra lean ground beef
2 cans stewed tomatoes
1 can kidney beans
1 can corn
1 pkg taco seasoning
1 onion, chopped
2 c water
Brown meat and onion, drain.  Place everything in the crock pot for 6-8 hours.  2 POINTS for 1.5 cups.

thanks for the posting the recipies and for you ncontinued encourage ment it seemd in 8 weeks I have lost 5 pounds then gain 2 back and cant to anything else. I figure at least i am not gainniong 5 five opunds I am holding steady i may not be skinning but I am a lot healthier... Shawna
