Another good day :)

I am amazed at how "on plan" I can be when I've got no one bringing me "crap," no disasters happening, PLENTY of power foods around the house and an awesome PLAN. :)  I have got my frozen-peach-banana-buttermilk ice cream planned for later when the kiddos are in bed.  Hubby is off at some dinner with the higher-ups from work.  One of the many good thing about DH is that he never brings home a doggy bag.  The good ol' boy eats it all :) 
I have started reading a civil war novel, The Killer Angels.  I didn't think it would hook me, but it has.   The movie "Gettysburg" is based on the book.  I liked the movie, though it made me sad.  So many remarkable men on both sides died defending what they absolutely KNEW was right.
Have a great evening.  I am going to enjoy the peace and quite with my good book.

Ingredients

3 1/2 cup(s) all-purpose flour   
1/2 cup(s) canola oil   
1 1/2 cup(s) buttermilk  or milk 1%
6 tsp baking powder   
1 tsp table salt   

Instructions


Add the salt and baking powder to the flour.  Mix in the oil.  Stir in the milk.  The original recipe called for 1 C of butter.  By using oil, we can reduce the amount of fat by 1/2 :) 17 for 4 ppv (3 T scoop) 24 for 3 ppv ( 2 T scoop)

Ingredients

  5 pound(s) uncooked potato(es)   
5 clove(s) garlic clove(s) (medium)   
  2 cup(s) fat-free chicken broth   
1 Tbsp olive oil   

Instructions


saute the garlic in the olive oil. Cook the potatoes until tender.  Mash the potatoes with the garlic, oil and use broth to moisten and fluff them up. they are SO good!!! The serving is HUGE :)
